Volleyball Recap: Lucy Bell and Lainey Tilton Secure Win for Sycamore

Sycamore posted their closest win since August 23rd on Thursday. They skirted past the Lakota East Thunderhawks 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Aviators in their matchups with the Thunderhawks: they've now won five in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sycamore got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 17-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13.

Sycamore was led to victory by Lainey Tilton and Lucy Bell. Tilton had 23 digs and two aces, while Bell had 15 digs and one block. The dominant performance also gave Bell a new career-high in assists (13). Lily Bell was another key player, getting ten kills and three digs.

Sycamore's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Lakota East, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Sycamore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Mason on the 22nd. Lakota East has also already played their next contest (against Little Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
