Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Southern Guilford Storm

Northeast Guilford hasn't had much luck against Southern Guilford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Northeast Guilford Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southern Guilford Storm at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Northeast Guilford is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Eastern Guilford: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Northeast Guilford blew Eastern Guilford out of the water with an 81-41 final score. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Southern Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Rockingham County, falling 80-55. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Cougars are ranked 229th).

Southern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Northeast Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
