Softball Recap: Secaucus Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Secaucus finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 14-1 to the New Milford Knights. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Secaucus' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for New Milford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Secaucus will head out to take on Palisades Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for New Milford, they will be playing at home against Cresskill at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
