Basketball Recap: Humble Christian Takes a Loss

Humble Christian played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 84-40 defeat at the hands of the Bob Hope Eagles. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Humble Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Devin Simpson and Noah Vickers. Simpson posted 22 points, while Vickers almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Simpson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Humble Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bob Hope, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humble Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Academy of Freestone at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Bob Hope, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
