Basketball Game Preview: Benton Rangers vs. Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Benton Rangers will get right back to it and host the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Benton lost to Chester on the road by a 47-32 margin. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna-Jonesboro fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 60-51 win over Chester on Tuesday.

Anna-Jonesboro's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-14. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Benton strolled past Anna-Jonesboro in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 67-52. Will Benton repeat their success, or does Anna-Jonesboro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
