Even though the St. Joseph Hill Academy Hilltoppers scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Moore Catholic Mavericks still came out on top. Moore Catholic skirted past St. Joseph Hill Academy 58-55. This was payback for Moore Catholic, who suffered a 63-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Moore Catholic was led to victory by Brianna Caliri and Jordan Felci. Caliri dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Felci scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Caliri's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Costanzo, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Moore Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for St. Joseph Hill Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Moore Catholic will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. Notre Dame Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. St. Joseph Hill Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fontbonne Hall Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 10th.
