If Dierks wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Gurdon, they should've done a better job of containing Uriah Gatlin. The Go-Devils claimed a resounding 49-12 win over the Outlaws for which the team can thank Gatlin, who rushed for 164 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Gurdon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Gurdon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Jonah Jester led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Gurdon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.7 points over those games. As for Dierks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Gurdon will square off against Poyen at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Dierks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
