Basketball Recap: Pace Academy Beats Kell for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pace Academy walked away with it. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging an 80-50 win over the Kell Longhorns. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Pace Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bentley Lusakueno, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lusakueno a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Hayden Clay, who went 6-for-7 en route to 13 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.

The win (which was Pace Academy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 25-4. As for Kell, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

Looking ahead, Pace Academy will challenge Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pace Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Union Grove likes a good challenge. Kell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
