After a string of nine wins, Archbishop Murphy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Mountlake Terrace Hawks by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Archbishop Murphy's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 11-2-1. As for Mountlake Terrace, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Archbishop Murphy will square off against rival Meadowdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountlake Terrace is set to challenge their familiar foe Edmonds-Woodway at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
