Baseball Recap: Goldthwaite Takes a Loss

Goldthwaite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Johnson City, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that Goldthwaite has lost by exactly ten runs.

Goldthwaite saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hagen Greenway, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was Greenway's first of the season.

Goldthwaite's record now sits at 1-11. As for Johnson City, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Coming up, Goldthwaite will square off against Center Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Goldthwaite has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Johnson City, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mason at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
