Artesia has gone 7-2 against Los Alamos recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Both will face off at 1:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. The timing is sure in Artesia's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Los Alamos has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Friday, Artesia didn't have too much trouble with Belen as they won 72-56.

Meanwhile, Los Alamos hadn't done well against Goddard recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Los Alamos walked away with a 49-37 win over Goddard. That looming 49-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hilltoppers yet this season.

Artesia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Los Alamos, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Artesia couldn't quite finish off Los Alamos in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 and fell 46-44. Thankfully for Artesia, Mark Cleland (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
