Basketball Recap: Taliaferro County Comes Up Short

Taliaferro County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears. While the JAGUARS didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 19-13 in the first quarter.

Milledgeville Athletic Club found their leader in sophomore Dieon Bivins, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Greyson Rogers, who scored 15 points.

Taliaferro County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Taliaferro County has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Greene County on the 8th. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-55 victory against Augusta E on the 11th.
