Ropes had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the West Texas Comanches with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 21 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ropes has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Texas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.
