3A Region 7 league recap: 4/3/13

Genoa Central's Justin Swecker was the best pitcher in 3A Region 7 this week. He picked up one win and 12 strikeouts.

First place in the league standings is up for grabs this week, as Horatio sits just 1 game back of the Dragons.

The league boasted seven .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Ryan Oakes, who hit .714 by going 5-for-7.

Garrett Mckamie drove in four runners as Genoa Central defeated Bismarck 16-6 on Friday. He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.

Swecker struck out 12 in the Dragons' 8-2 win over the Wolves on April 1. Over seven innings of work, he gave up four hits and two runs.
