Football Game Preview: Powder Valley vs. Pine Eagle

Powder Valley will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Pine Eagle at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close game.

After a dominant victory in their contest two weeks ago, Powder Valley were humbled last week. They were given a punishing 0-60 loss at the hands of Wallowa.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Notus in their previous match, Pine Eagle were happy to find some success. Pine Eagle managed a somewhat close 38-32 win over Cascade. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (32) and coasted on those for the win.

Pine Eagle's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Powder Valley's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. Pine Eagle caused 3 turnovers against Cascade, so Powder Valley will need to take especially good care of the ball.
