Baseball Game Preview: Maple River Eagles vs. Randolph Rockets

The Maple River Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Randolph Rockets at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Maple River will be strutting in after a victory while Randolph will be coming in after a loss.

Maple River took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Triton by a score of 7-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Randolph's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Cannon Falls by a score of 6-5.

Maple River has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-18 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
