Soccer Recap: Candor Comes Up Short

Candor entered their matchup against Lansing on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Coyotes fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 4-3. If Candor were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Lansing when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Candor hit Lansing with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nathan Morse, Xavier Beach, and Kyle Jantz.

Candor's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lansing, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Candor will square off against Watkins Glen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Candor will be up against Watkins Glen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.83 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lansing, they will face off against Charles O. Dickerson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charles O. Dickerson's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Lansing's offense will have their work cut out for them.
