Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Capistrano Valley Christian

Capistrano Valley Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-6 victory on Tuesday.

Reid Boyer looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Drew Martin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Baron Butler, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Capistrano Valley Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Christian only managed six hits.

Capistrano Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Western Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11.
