The Cave Spring Knights will head out on the road to challenge the William Byrd Terriers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cave Spring is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Cave Spring came up short against Salem and fell 7-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cave Spring saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Mathews, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, William Byrd came up short against Hidden Valley on Saturday, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Terriers in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

William Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cave Spring, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Cave Spring got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against William Byrd by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
