Basketball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Skyline Coyotes.

Skyline found their leader in sophomore Jordan Seiuli, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Seiuli has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Schneider, who posted 13 points and five steals.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Skyline, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

West Point and Xavier College Prep will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Skyline, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shadow Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
