Baseball Game Preview: Iowa Yellowjackets vs. Rosepine Eagles

The Iowa Yellowjackets will challenge the Rosepine Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Iowa needed a bit of extra time to put away Welsh. They skirted past the Greyhounds 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won eight in a row.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rosepine and Kinder, and Rosepine kept the tradition alive. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Yellowjackets on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Iowa's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Rosepine, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Iowa got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2024 against Rosepine by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
