Baseball Recap: Westminster Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Academy lost against NSU University back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions fell 5-1 to the Sharks. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westminster Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Westminster Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for NSU University, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Westminster Academy and NSU University are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lions will challenge Hialeah Educational Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for NSU University, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against JC Bermudez Doral at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in the Sharks' favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home while the Thunder have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
