Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Lake). They claimed a resounding 74-24 win over the Brazoswood Buccaneers. The Falcons pushed the score to 56-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buccaneers had no chance of recovering from.

Clear Lake was led to victory by Carmen Evans and Kirsten Lippold. Evans went 14 for 25 on her way to 29 points in addition to five assists and five boards, while Lippold went 7 of 9 on her way to 16 points along with seven blocks and four steals. Evans' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Auttonberry, who posted five points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Clear Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Clear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Brazoswood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Clear Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-26 win against Clear Springs on the 13th. As for Brazoswood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-19 loss against Clear Falls on the 13th.
