Recap: Ocoee Knights vs. Windermere Wolverines

The Ocoee Knights''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Windermere 52-21 on the road. The victory was just what Ocoee needed coming off of a 46-0 loss in their prior matchup.

Ocoee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavion Greaves, who picked up 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Greaves' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Nathaniel Worrell and his 141 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Ocoee's win.

Ocoee's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Michael Mcclenton.

When it comes to explaining why Windermere lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Speed. Despite the final result, he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Henry Rogers, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Ocoee's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Windermere, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will take on Dr. Phillips at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
