Basketball Game Preview: Winside Wildcats vs. Homer Knights

The Winside Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Homer Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Winside is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They were dealt a 74-33 loss at the hands of Wynot on Friday. The Wildcats were down 53-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the defeat, Winside had strong showings from Jahiem Hamik, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Carter Krause, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 63-48 to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.
