Volleyball Recap: Morgan Township Beats Tri-Township for Their Third Straight Victory

Morgan Township made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tri-Township, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cherokees put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Cherokees sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-17.

Morgan Township found their leader in freshman Marshall Craigin, who had seven digs and one assist. Ryland Gerber also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Morgan Township was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Morgan Township pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Tri-Township, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morgan Township will challenge rival Westville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tri-Township is set to square off against their familiar foe Washington Township at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
