Recap: Hayfork Timberjacks vs. Big Valley Cardinals
Make it six blowout wins for the Hayfork Timberjacks this season. They blew past Big Valley 69-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hayfork has posted since December 12, 2023.
It was another big night for Levi Cavalli, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Hair, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.
Big Valley's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Kade Lemke and Josue Barba. Lemke scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Barba dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Hayfork and bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Big Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayfork will square off against Dunsmuir at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dunsmuir has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Big Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Happy Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Happy Camp is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
