South Gwinnett has gone a perfect 3-0 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. South Gwinnett's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Heritage's offense will have their work cut out for them.

If South Gwinnett beats Heritage with 26 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Comets took down Grovetown 26-7 last Friday. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Warriors are ranked 203rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The critical scores for South Gwinnett came from Alex Fitzpatrick and Justin Anderson.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Heritage's offense. They were outmatched by Grayson and fell 41-0. Having soared to a lofty 50 points in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tajaeh Walker and Landen Sprinkle.

The win made it two in a row for South Gwinnett and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.0 points over those games. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
