Soccer Game Preview: Clint vs. Riverside

The Clint Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Riverside Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Clint fell victim to San Elizario and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Austin who was credited with the victory on Friday. Austin got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Riverside's four.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Clint, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Clint came up short against Riverside when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Clint avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
