Chaska dropped their record down to 4-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 7-0 to the Orono Spartans. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

As for Orono, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5. Considering they have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Orono's part, the team relied heavily on Chaz Brookins, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Brookins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin McGuirk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Looking ahead, Chaska will welcome New Prague at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orono, they will head out to square off against Waconia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
