Softball Recap: Fayette County Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Fayette County suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Fayette County and bumps their season record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Lamar, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Fayette County and South Lamar will both be playing Lamar County the next time they take the field. South Lamar will head out to face Lamar County at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Fayette County will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
