Soccer Recap: Woodstock Takes a Loss

Woodstock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Harvard Hornets who were credited with the victory. The Harvard Hornets got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Woodstock Blue Streaks' four. Woodstock were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Harvard earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Harvard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-5-2 record this season.

Woodstock will host Antioch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Harvard, they will face off against Richmond-Burton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond-Burton will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Harvard surely won't give up without a fight.
