Basketball Recap: Kallie Parson Key Part of a Team Effort in Yellowjackets Win

Grundy County won the last time they faced South Pittsburg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Grundy County Yellowjackets took down the South Pittsburg Pirates 52-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Grundy County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kallie Parson led the charge by going 5 for 9 en route to 12 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Parson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasadee Crabtree, who posted 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Grundy County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Pittsburg, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Grundy County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-29 defeat against Cascade on the 31st. South Pittsburg has also already played their next matchup, a 46-30 victory against Whitwell on the 30th.
