Soccer Game Preview: Duluth vs. North Gwinnett

Duluth is 0-7 against North Gwinnett since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Duluth Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Duluth after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Parkview by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, North Gwinnett had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Blue Devils 7-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Duluth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Gwinnett, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Duluth suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to North Gwinnett in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Duluth was down 4-1.
