St. Edward dropped down to 12-3 on Wednesday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the St. Charles North North Stars. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Green Wave's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for St. Charles North, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Kaelie Tomalak was her usual excellent self, rushing for 79 yards and one TD on only six carries, while also throwing for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, she posted two passing touchdowns, the most she's had over her last eight games. Another player making a difference was Emma West, who rushed for 68 yards and one score.

Looking ahead, St. Edward will take on Timothy Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Charles North, they have already played their next contest, a 29-26 loss against Fremd on the 25th.
