Football Recap: Kingdom Prep Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Anton on September 4th, Kingdom Prep Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Abilene Christian Panthers on Friday, falling 52-32. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kingdom Prep Academy fell to 2-1. As for Abilene Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingdom Prep Academy will host Boys Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Roughriders' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Abilene Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
