Football Recap: Dover Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dover extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 51-12 loss at the hands of the West Morris Mendham Minutemen. The Tigers lost against the Minutemen in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-27 score last time.

As for West Morris Mendham, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.2 points over those games.

Thomas Guido continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 133 yards and three scores on only five carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Rocco Racioppi made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Looking ahead, Dover will square off against Lakeland Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Morris Mendham, they will take on Warren Hills Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
