Basketball Recap: Douglas Has No Trouble Against ALA - Gilbert North

Douglas lost to ALA - Gilbert North back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 57-37 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Douglas had a senior duo take command as Diego Lopez posted 17 points along with seven steals and six rebounds and Ryan Felix shot 60% from the field to rack up 13 points and five steals. Felix is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Machado, who earned eight points.

Douglas' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Douglas and ALA - Gilbert North will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bulldogs see the court they'll take on Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. As for ALA - Gilbert North, their break will end when they face Mica Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
