The Mustangs will welcome the Lions at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Middletown 13.1, Redding Christian 6.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Middletown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-23 victory over Piedmont.

Meanwhile, while Redding Christian put up some points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Maxwell. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 26-0 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Middletown better focus on containing Wyatt Shaw and Levi Putnam as the pair were huge in Redding Christian's win. Shaw threw for 191 yards and a pair of TDs, while Putnam rushed for 106 yards. Brodie Ogden made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

One reason for the win was Redding Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Ogden with two. Redding Christian got some further help from Zack Wakeman: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
