Basketball Recap: Hilldale Finds Home Court Redemption Against Catoosa

There's no place like home for Hilldale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Catoosa Indians on Friday as the Hilldale Hornets made off with a 48-25 win. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Indians are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Catoosa still got an impressive performance from Jacquelyn Cornwell, who posted 13 points and six boards.

The victory got Hilldale back to even at 5-5. As for Catoosa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Hilldale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-36 defeat against Keys on the 21st. As for Catoosa, they will take on Tahlequah at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
