The Manhattan Catholic Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the St. John Tigers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Manhattan Catholic sitting on five straight victories and St. John on 15.
Last Tuesday, Manhattan Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over St. Xavier, taking the game 46-38. 46 seems to be a good number for Manhattan Catholic as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, St. John can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 58-36 margin over Victoria. Given St. John's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Victoria is ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Manhattan Catholic's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for St. John, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
