Volleyball Game Preview: River Falls Wildcats vs. Stevens Point Panthers

River Falls is a perfect 4-0 against Stevens Point since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wildcats will face off against the Panthers. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with River Falls sitting on four straight victories and Stevens Point on eight.

River Falls is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on New Richmond with a sharp 3-0 win.

River Falls had a senior duo take command as Olivia Doerre had 18 digs and two aces and Adia Johnson had 12 digs. Doerre has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Stevens Point hadn't beaten Hudson on the road since August 30, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Raiders 3-0.

River Falls better focus on containing Addi Peskie and Kendall Woytasik as the pair were huge in Stevens Point's win. Peskie had 12 digs, while Woytasik had five digs. That's the most digs Woytasik has posted since back in September.

Stevens Point's victory bumped their record up to 31-7. As for River Falls, their win bumped their record up to 34-6.

River Falls took their victory against Stevens Point in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
