Preview: Saint Viator Lions vs. Wheaton Academy Warriors
The Saint Viator Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Wheaton Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Saint Viator focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Saint Viator proved. They came out on top against Chicago Hope Academy by a score of 56-46.
It was another big night for Mia Bergstrom, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Andrea Rivera, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wheaton Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Westminster Christian, posting a 42-11 win on the road. Given Wheaton Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Westminster Christian is ranked 661st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Saint Viator's record is now 7-24. Wheaton Academy's record now sits at 17-9.
