Softball Recap: Holbrook Roadrunners vs. Show Low Cougars
Holbrook extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 11-14 in the process. They lost 19-3 to the Show Low Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 two weeks ago.
Holbrook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tamryn Baldonado, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Show Low, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.3 runs.
On Show Low's side, Aspyn Clark made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.
