Football Recap: Wasilla Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Dylan Redick and Adam Corneliussen

Wasilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 30-12 to the Eagle River Wolves. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Wasilla's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adam Corneliussen, who picked up 114 receiving yards and one score, and Dylan Redick, who picked up 71 receiving yards and one TD.

Wasilla didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Wyatt Shields.

Wasilla's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Eagle River, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Coming up, Wasilla will challenge Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Moose have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Eagle River, they will square off against Chugiak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
