Baseball Recap: Anacoco Triumphs

Anacoco never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Elizabeth Bulldogs. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Drew Patin, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Caleb Chaney also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Anacoco hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabeth struck out nine times.

Anacoco now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Elizabeth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Anacoco will venture away from home to challenge Holy Savior Menard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will head out to face off against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
