Football Game Preview: Crisp County Cougars vs. Tattnall County Warriors

Crisp County is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tattnall County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Crisp County challenged Swainsboro last Friday. The Cougars fell 21-14 to the Tigers.

Crisp County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zion Mabry, who rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown, and Hagan Slimp, who rushed for 49 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Tattnall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 28-6 to Toombs County. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tattnall County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Crisp County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Crisp County skirted past Tattnall County 13-10 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
