Football Recap: Owensville Comes Up Short

Owensville lost against Eldon back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dutchmen took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Drew Hinds looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 109 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. Those 109 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Drayden Delong helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.

Owensville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Eldon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Owensville and Eldon will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Dutchmen will take on rival St. James at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eldon is set to square off against their familiar foe Osage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
