Indian Creek picks up eighth straight win on the road

Recap: Indian Creek Redskins vs. Carrollton Warriors

The Indian Creek Redskins had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over Carrollton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Indian Creek also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

McKenna Scott was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with seven assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Anderson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Carrollton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demi Leary, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brae Roudebush, who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks.

Indian Creek's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Carrollton, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Indian Creek will head out on the road to take on Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Catholic Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Indian Creek is ranked 131st). As for Carrollton, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Salem at 6:45 p.m.
