Basketball Recap: Barnesville Comes Up Short

Barnesville lost against St. Clairsville back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Shamrocks were beaten by the Red Devils 75-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Shamrocks have suffered against the Red Devils since December 15, 2018.

Barnesville's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for St. Clairsville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Barnesville and Martins Ferry will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Purple Riders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. St. Clairsville will take on Northridge in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
